Oklahoma Courts Adopting New E-Filing System

A step-by-step look at the Oklahoma Court’s new e-filing system, by Shawn J. Reynolds, PC Blog
http://www.shawnjroberts.com/step-step-look-oklahoma-courts-new-efiling-system/

Does anyone remember how we freaked when the federal court required e-filing in federal courts? And then we realized it was the best thing since sliced bread? I cannot wait to see this evolution in Oklahoma courts, and look forward to its implementation. The needed changes are in progress.

Keep in mind that this means legal professionals need to sharpen their skills, if necessary, on using digital signatures and features in Adobe Acrobat, just as we do with federal e-filing with PACER. Sometimes even positive change scares some of us. This will be outstanding. Look forward to it. Once it is in full swing, we will wonder how we ever lived without it.

Unlike so many websites that started as free and now do not disclose that there is a hidden fee if you want the information they say they can provide, this site is the real deal. Yes, if you want to sign up for premium sites, you have that option. But you can still get free results of useful information.

It uses many public sites used regularly legal professionals. But if you are not someone who is already aware of where to find this information, this web site is for you. These folks have been on the Internet a long time. They are consistent and dependable.

Certainly, we must hire people to do things we cannot possibly do.  But I contend that we hire people to do many things we could learn to do ourselves, and do economically.  Remember Eddie Murphy’s royal backside wipers in Coming to America? All it takes is money to burn; and if it’s someone else’s money, who really cares?

But at what point do lawyers outsource themselves into superfluity?  Clients can hire vendors.  Bigger clients can and should bring much of…
